| "We have a secret in our society & its not that birth is painful, its that women are strong." JLH |

| I am the mother of 4 beautiful children 2 hospital born and 2 home born and am expecting my 5th baby to be born at home in October 2008. I have been married for 10 years and I am a Christian. I serve Dallas, Tarrant, Rockwall & Hunt counties have been a Doula since 2004. I am a Certified Birth Doula through DONA International. I am also a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. I have attended over 50 births varying from home birth, birthing centers to hospital births with epidurals & inductions & cesarean section births. I have a wide range of experiences to draw on in order to serve you and your particular needs better. I love this work and feel that I was called to serve women as they birth their babies and form new families. I also believe that wonderful, empowering birth memories can be made in any birthing environment be it a hospital, birthing center or home birth and will do my best to help you achieve the birth you desire in your choice of birthplace. My Birth Philosophy : Every birth is the culmination of a natural and powerful intimate experience. Women are powerful creatures that were blessed to be the bearers of new life and their experiences should be given the respect and love they deserve. Some births are medicated, some are not. Some births require medical intervention, most do not, but every woman should be given the knowledge she needs to make the best decisions for her and her family and her Doula should support the family in those decisions regardless of her personal beliefs. Every woman, no matter her situation, personal beliefs, religious or cultural matters deserves a wonderful, supportive birthing experience. As women, we never forget the births of our children and we deserve to birth the way we choose to with the support needed to do so. As a Doula, my goal is to help you have the best birth for your family. |
